One Day
It was a cold, dreary day -- the gloomiest day even seen in thirty-some years. Overcast clouds loomed above him, rumbling mutters that soon grew into thundering protests. And then, it cried. Tears poured down from the sky. The wind wailed and the trees and lakes waved mournfully goodbye. Willow boughs clung to it, trying to bring him back, trying to stop him for going away forever. Slowly, gradually, the tears fell more slowly and the clouds gently parted away, leaving just enough room for the clear, blue sky to place a glowing halo above the tombstone.
