Getting ready for a date

She sat in her closet staring at the vast racks of clothes which seemingly had nothing wearable on them. Why don't I ever get anything cute when I shop?, she thought. Finally, she decided on a pink v-neck, her cutest dark-wash jeans with a swirl of rhinestones on each back pocket, and black gladiator sandals. To accompany this outfit, she added a long silver necklace and a black clutch. She moved down the hall, barely capable of walking. The butterflies in her stomach seemed to alter her balance drastically. In the bathroom, she decided to straighten her hair. She plugged in the flat iron and let it heat up. As she waited for the red light signaling heat to appear, she brushed her teeth for the minty fresh breathe effect. She grabbed a tube of mascara and applied it to her perfect lashes after completing the rest of her make-up. As a nice finishing touch, she carefully smoothed shiny pink lip gloss onto her lips. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the small, red light illuminate. She proceeded to straighten her hair until it was flawless and as straight and shiny as glass.
