Describe Your Neighborhood

Kids playing kickball in the street. Dogs are on walks with their owners. A lemonade stand is set up on the corner while cars stop to make the kids smile with joy. All the people here in this neighborhood are friends, and block parties are thrown often. The kids have been going to school with each other since they can remember. The sound of laughter covers the the loud car horns from the cars on the only major road near by. You can smell Mrs. Sullivan's freshly backed cherry pie as a breeze blows by. The warm air touches your skin as you watch the sun's reflection in the pond. In the winter, a neighborhood hockey game is held as the ice freezes over. Lights are put up on the trees so that we can play deep into the darkness. Father, friends, boys and girls all take part in the game. When we can no longer feel our toes we all gather around the fireplace and enjoy a nice cup of hot chocolate at the Koycar residence. All these memories are a part of me, created at a very special place. That place is called home.
